Housing Navigator
What will the role look like?
Housing Navigators work in an outreach capacity supporting people who are or have been homeless and have a history of rough sleeping. They work intensively with small caseloads, taking a person-centered approach to build a relationship. Each person is supported to improve their personal and social skills, helping them to build their resilience and enabling them to sustain their tenancy in order to prevent repeat homelessness.
We are currently hiring for a Full time-permanent role which is 37 hours per week.
What we are looking for?
Navigators work closely with a range of housing providers including the local authority, private landlords and third sector housing organisations. They are an integral part of the Safer Leeds Street Outreach Support Team and work in partnership to produce the best outcomes for the people they are working with.
Navigators will work with people who display challenging behaviour which may make it difficult for them to establish relationships at any level and the navigator will work with them to overcome the barriers they face. This role will include work with individuals who may have a history of convictions for serious offences or who are at a high risk of reoffending.
