School Counselling and Wellbeing Worker - Neurodiversity Project
What will the role look like?
The purpose of this role is to provide short term work using a 4-session model of supportive intervention. This will include working in a person-centred way with the young person, their primary carers and other education and support professionals within Cluster.
Working in this holistic way, you will aid the identification and awareness of the key challenges and negative affects of their potential neurodivergence and co-create a personalised strengths-based support plan including additional community support resources. You will monitor and support their progress accounting for additional barriers that may prevent them getting the most from the intervention.
What we are looking for?
The ideal individual will use their experience and skills as a trained young person’s therapeutic counsellor to provide this support within the BACP ethical framework.
The post holder will liaise with school staff and other non-school professionals in a proactive and professional manner and will liaise with the young person’s primary carers in a compassionate, professional and inclusive manner.
We are ideally looking for an immediate start.
