Specialist Housing Navigator (Criminal Justice)
We are looking for individuals who are passionate, resilient and enthusiastic to join a new and exciting role within the Specialist Criminal Justice team.
This vacancy is a maternity cover role ending 31st October 2025.
What will the role look like?
We are looking for individuals who are passionate, resilient and enthusiastic to join an exciting joint initiative with Leeds Housing Options Team. You will work across Leeds with individuals leaving prison to support them into accommodation and help them to sustain their tenancies. The people that we will work will have experienced a range of complex issues including homelessness, substance misuse, and mental health issues and will have a history of offending behaviour.
We work in a person-centred way to ensure that we build strong relationships with the people we support. We are looking for driven and energetic individuals to join this team to enable working in partnership with other services to support people to access services and interventions they need to build their resilience, gain confidence and acquire the personal and social assets they need to move forward.
We welcome applications from people who can work in a proactive way and apply creative solutions to reduce barriers, someone who understands and cares about the needs of the individual and is not easily phased. Building the relationship can be difficult but with your consistent support and being a key point of contact to meet individual needs, we achieve really positive outcomes.
At Barca-Leeds we recognise the value that people who have their own experience of multiple disadvantage can bring to the team and encourage applications from people who may not have the work experience but do have lived experience.
