Linking Leeds

  • I like working for Barca/Linking Leeds as you are not micro-managed but well supported. It has a feel of a small family run company. It feels like a real charity, and everybody gets on. They are open to feedback, are great with inclusivity and reasonable adjustments. It’s a great place to work if you have children, disabilities, caring responsibilities, or illnesses, as you can make the job work for you. You are also making a difference to your local community, which is rewarding.

    Helen Parker

    Wellbeing Coordinator since 2019

  • My role as Wellbeing Coordinator involves supporting clients to make changes in their lives relating to emotional, practical and social needs, this is called 'social prescribing'. I work with clients for around 2 months and support them to engage in meaningful conversation during our appointments and also signpost or refer them to organisations that can help them to achieve their goals. I have appointments on the phone, in a community hub and at a primary care doctor's surgery.

    Jo Joy-Jones

    Wellbeing Coordinator since 2023
